Is your Jewellery waterproof?

Like any piece of jewellery we recommend you look after your items of jewellery and not to wear them in water that maybe exposed to harsh chemicals, however with that being said all of our jewellery is waterproof and has been tested prior before being sold or advertised to you.

Is your jewellery tarnish free and scratch proof?

Yes, all of our jewellery is tarnish free however overtime it can loose its colour. All pieces of jewellery should be looked after to prolong the wear out of your items and to prevent tarnishing and scratches. Long answer but stainless steel does not rust or tarnish because of the interaction between the alloying elements and the environment. 

Can you shower with stainless steel jewellery?

Yes absolutely! you can confidently shower and wash your hands while wearing your stainless steel jewellery, including rings. While water itself poses no hair, it's important to be cautious of harsh chemicals, as they can potentially affect the appearance of your jewellery. However, under normal daily activities, stainless steel jewellery remains resilient and can be comfortably worn in the shower without any concerns.

For your gold and silver items, we recommend using a dry, soft lint-free cloth to gently wipe them clean. this simple routine helps to maintain the shine and keep your jewellery looking its best. Additionally, make use of the provided polishing cloths included with your order for effective cleaning. Please remember not to put these cloths in the wash. 

It's important to note that plated jewellery may naturally fade over time. This isn't a fault but a normal occurrence. By following the care instructions mentioned above, you can help preserve the longevity and vibrancy of your jewellery.

Showering,bathing, or swimming: Remove your jewellery to protect it from the chemicals in the water, especially in pools, hot springs and the ocean.

Using lotion, hair products, fragrances and other cosmetics: Apply these products before putting on your jewellery to minimize exposure.

Exercising at the gym or during contact sports: Remove your jewellery to avoid contact with sweat and potential damage during activities. 

Preparing meals: Avoid exposing your jewellery to substance found in certain foods.

Absolutely! With every order, we provide a silver polishing cloth, eliminating the need for a separate purchase. 

Can i clean my polishing cloths?

No, washing the cloths is not recommended, as it could remove the special coating designed to restore your silver jewellery. It's advised to avoid washing these cloths to maintain their effectiveness.

Can i wear my sterling silver jewellery in the shower?

yes you can, but its crucial to handle with care. Exposure to harsh chemicals or fragrances in addition to water can lead to oxidation. While wearing your jewellery in the shower is not advised, if you choose to do so, be mindful of these factors to maintain its longevity and shine. 

Is sterling silver same as silver?

Sterling silver is an alloy made mostly of silver and small percentage of copper and zinc to strengthen it. It can last a lifetime and be passed on for many generations if PROPERLY cared for. Silver is soft and not as durable as sterling silver. 

What causes the black stuff on sterling silver? 

The black deposits on sterling silver interacts with oxygen and hydrogen sulphide present in the air and some foods, it forms a solid black salt. the process, known as tarnishing, is essentially an oxidation process. 

Does Sterling Silver darken in water?

While water itself won't harm the metal, sterling silver is a natural material that can react with certain chemical elements. Water exposure can lead to oxidation, causing the silver to tarnish and darken over time. Additionally, there's a risk of dropping or losing your jewellery in water.
